Types of Poverty

Poverty can be classified according to its dimensions; times or duration ( long, short or cyclical), distribution (widespread, concentration, individual) and attribute towards the poor (sympathetic or hostile). I will explain briefly the various types of poverty.

1. CYCLICAL POVERTY
This is the type of poverty that is widely spread throughout a population, but the occurrence itself is limited duration. So, this sort of inability to provide for one basic needs rest upon temporary food shortages caused by natural phenomenon or poor agricultural planning.

2. COLLECTIVE POVERTY
Unlike the cyclical poverty that is temporary, collective poverty involves a relatively permanent insufficiency of means to secure basic needs.

3. CASE POVERTY
This type relates to collective poverty, case poverty refers to the inability of an individual or family to secure basic needs even in social surroundings of general poverty. This inability is generally related to the lack of some basic attribute that would permit individual to maintain him/herself.

You now see that in whichever ways you look at it, the repercussions of failure to alleviate poverty result to famine, diseases, theft, riots, and intense suffering.
So, I pray to my reader that in all ways may you not experience poverty in your life. (Amen)  Even if you are experiencing it now, there is a solution for you. Just follow me.

My friends I will like to ask you few questions namely;
 (a) Why are you working and you cannot save for the rainy day?
 (b) What do you think are the causes of labour unrest or strike  in Nigeria?
 (c) Why don't you avoid poverty or eradicate poverty in your generation?
 (d) Why can't you save your life before retiring from your office?
 (e) Do you want to end like that pensioner I mentioned above?

If your answer to the above questions is no, then  follow me and put a stop to the poverty in your life and the unborn generation by find means of generation income i.e making money online.

So, most people in most Nigeria are poor and we must accept that once a family turns poor, if care is not taken, they cannot come out of this poverty and their generations shall not get proper education, they shall not get proper training and that is the reason why they will never be adjusted to proper work. They shall not be earning proper income and that is the reason they too shall not be able to give proper education, training and adjustment to their children. So, if poverty comes once in the family, it becomes difficult to write off poverty from that family and even the state or social service units shall not be able to bring those people out of poverty because they are giving to the people just first aids service and nothing more. The state and social services cannot bring those people out  because ''It is better to give to a beggar the act of catching a fish than given him a fish in charity'' So to know how to catch fish  i.e making money online visits

What Associates with Poverty/ Effect of Poverty

Poverty is a word that people don’t like to hear talk less of associating themselves with it. Even I discovered that we human being doesn’t like to find ourselves or associate ourselves with somebody that is wallowing in poverty, thereby resulting in high rate of disorder behavior in the society.
EFFECTS OF POVERTY
Whatever definition or correlate definition, is used, both the authorities and laymen alike commonly assume that the effects of poverty are harmful both to individuals and to society.
Do you realize that poverty has affected so many people and family? Please look at the statement below:

‘He knew he did not have the strength to Abuja,
So, he sent his son to the Pension Office in
Abuja from his base in Benin,
Edo State upon armed with a letter
                                                    Of authority to receive
                                                       The money on his behalf.
He had worked with the National Youth service Corps (NYSC).
He died on his way to Abuja to receive his pension.
He died inside the vehicle conveying him to Abuja.
In frustration, the son took his father’s body to the pension officers.
It generated a lot of argument that nearly caused riot’.
The above statement reveals one of the effects of poverty in people’s life. Do you know that if this man or his child has enough money or another source of income? I believe he will not have bothered himself with any pension before going to the hospital. I believe that if this man or his children can afford to pay his hospital bill they will not bother themselves on one useless pension that is not sure of or cannot chase poverty away from their life and their generation. Effect of Poverty

The above picture shows the recent effect that happened in this same Edo State in which the Pensioners are protesting purposely because Government refuse to pay them arrears of two solid years, the story goes thus;

“No fewer than 500 pensioners who retired from the service of the Edo State Government on Monday took to the streets in protest of 42 months’ pension arrears.
The pensioners who carried their protest round major roads in Benin and ended up at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Press center, said most of them who retired from the service between 2013 and 2016 were yet to be paid their gratuities.
Armed with banners with various inscriptions such as, “Edo pensioners are more displaced internally than the IDPs” urged the government to constitute the state pensions board.
Spokesman of the group, said as a result the non-payment of their gratuities and pensions, the pensioners find it difficult to cope with. He noted that while some have passed on as a result of the non-payment, others have found it difficult to send their children to school due to lack of fund.
“We appeal to our royal fathers, politicians, elder statesmen, mothers, the clergy and all well meaning citizens of the state to prevail on the state government to pay arrears of pension entitlements to over one thousand deprived pensioners.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the state government had delayed the payment of arrears of pension ranging from 10 to 42 months as a result of which pensioners have been groaning in penury and pains.
“Contrary to claims that the government does now owe state retirees, the government has refused to commence payment of pension with effect from the date of retirement as stipulated in civil service pension law,” spokesman stated.”

Can you now see that even working for government does not give you joy again when you retire from your job. The only solution is to look for alternative sources of income, so that when you retire you will retire well and will not depend on any pension that you are not sure off.
Tell me, are those people going to be liven comfortably with their condition? It is not possible, and that is the reason why you need to find multiple streams of income.
